What is the Children’s Visitation Center?
The Children’s Visitation Center is designed to help alleviate the tension between children and parents during parenting time with the non-custodial parent(s). By providing a comfortable, neutral location for supervised visits, we are able to help create a better atmosphere for child-parent interactions.
When should I use the center?
The CVC is used when you are encountering problems at home with your own visitation schedule. Tension can arise when a parent comes to pick up a child while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Inconsistent or irresponsible visits can also cause conflict. We want to help establish a stress-free routine for you and your children. We can provide:
- A positive environment for visits or exchanges
- On & off-site monitored visits
- Help to establish a visitation routine, which ensures stability
- Confidential support to parents and children
How do I request services?
Visitations are scheduled on the basis of a court order. Once the court order is received, each parent will need to set an appointment with Youth Connections to fill out intake forms and be briefed on the visitation process.
Services will not begin until both parties have completed the intake process.
