Safe Place Scavenger Hunt
Morgan County
In recognition of the upcoming National Safe Place Week in March, Youth Connections is hosting a community-wide Safe Place Scavenger Hunt for Morgan County. The goal of this event is to send a unified message to Morgan County youth, families and businesses that Morgan County is a safe, collaborative community that cares about and is invested in it’s youth.
With the collaboration of several community partners and sponsors, this hunt is designed to help familiarize youth with Safe Place locations in the Martinsville, Mooresville and Morgantown areas, educate them on the dangers of alcohol, tobacco and drugs, help provide them with the tools and resources to say “NO” and give them an opportunity to connect with a community that cares.
Registration is open until February 24, 2012. The event will kick off in Mooresville on March 15 at the Mooresville Fire Station located just off St Rd 67 on St Rd 144 and ends on March 22 with a Final Destination Celebration at the Martinsville East Middle School in the gymnasium. All kids, grades 4-9, are invited to register for this event.
